YouTube YouWin prize-wave scam?
I typed in "youtube.com" into my url bar and it took me to "www.youtube.com/youwin/…", I saw that it was the actually youtube url so I got excited. So i clicked on the Dell XPS 16 and it asked me to do a quick 4 question survey still on the same site. So I did that then clicked finished. After that it took me to a different site, still looked legit. I entered my shipping address for the product then clicked next, it asked me to complete one more survey to satisfy the offer. After I finished that one it was asking me to subscribe to a cell phone service and wanted me to hit accept. After that it just kept throwing offers at me. I didn’t enter any credit card or billing info on any of these and didn’t hit accept on any of them. Once i noticed that it wasn’t going to stop I hit unsubscribe on the bottom and it said it would take 7-10 days to process. Did I do any harm or put my self in danger by doing this or risk identity theft? I fooled myself into thinking it was real because it was from youtube, I just hope I didn’t cause any harm.
