First, I read this and had to chuckle a bit. Then I started thinking that this woman has some serious insecurities in her life and she needs to seek immediate professional help. Then, while I think it is hilarious how your described packing her out the front door and sliding her her credit card, it would have been a better idea to just tell her her accusations are unfounded, you don't appreciate the verbal abuse from her and that you will talk to her when she calms down - then YOU leave for the night. Granted it is your home too, and why is it that the man should always leave/sleep on the couch - especially when it wasn't the man to have initiated the incident?

Call the police station back and find out what they want. By avoiding them, they may think you have something to hide.

Good luck! And if you want to see this marriage work, seek professional counseling, otherwise, y'all need to seek happiness elsewhere.

I don't think what you did was abusive, but I really don't think it was right either because it is her house too. I would just call the police and see what they wanted to talk to you about. Could be anything.

I do not think what you did was abusive, but was it right will be the argument. The police will probably tell you you should have left.

Call the police and find out what they want.. they want your side of the story... She maybe claiming domestic violence. And you need to clear it up before you get arrested.
Were you being abusive... well... to be honest.. not the best thing to do.. now the what ifs.... what if she'd have been attacked in the motel or on the way.. How would you feel. Now what if she told them you beat her. becasue she wats you out of the house..
Its can be seen as domestic abuse ... I worked for DCF and saw similar incourt classed as domestic abuse.
You do eed to go to the police and sort this out or you may just find yourself arrested..... You may be arrested anyway. but at least you will have your point put over..
In reality not anwering to the police last night make you look guilty also.. so go get it sorted....

I can understand your thought process but from a legal stand point, you probably had no right to lock her out of the house. If there is a next time; you should leave and spend the night in a hotel.
