Think I'm getting ripped off from ordering a cell phone?
I ordered a straight talk cell phone from the straight talk contact number from their website. I picked the phone I wanted and paid .95 for one day shipping. A buddy of mine uses straight talk and he’s had great success with it. It’s a calling card plan, so there is no contract, and no bs sur charges and taxes. Anyways, I ordered it over the website at around 4 pm yesterday. I understand that it is kind of at the end of the business day, and I was expecting my phone to come sometime later today, but the order hasn’t even been through the shipping process, so I can’t get a UPS tracking number yet, so therefore, my phone won’t be shipped out till later today, and I will get it tomorrow, but I might as well paid for the 3 to 4 day shipping. They already charged me for the phone and the shipping and the charges have shown up on my online bank account. I’ll have to wait and see if I actually receive the phone on wednesday before I dispute anything. I wasn’t really told straightforward, that since I ordered it towards the end of monday, that it would still take time to process, and I wonder why they still charged my account, when shipment fully hasn’t been processed yet, and I was expecting it today and not tomorrow? Should they credit me back some money since overnight shipping is .95? I understand that I did order it at the end of monday, but that was at like 4:00 pm, and I don’t know why they charged my account. They should wait for my debit card information until they get the UPS tracking number and the shipment process completed. Because by wednesday when I get it, it’s almost like I should have done the 3 to 4 business days. Since straight talk is a legit cell phone service, and I got the confirmatin number from straight talk, and the payment number on my bank account, my bank can probably dispute charges, if I don’t receivve the phone on Wednesday?
I talked to straight talk twice, and they didn’t even have a UPS or mail service tracking number to give me yet.
