1. False. HDDs are also located in printers, fax machines, pda's, ATMs, you name it...just about anything that stores anything locally can have a hard drive or anything with an OS.
2. idk. Flash drives are getting pretty large in capacity these days...don't know about PMPs
3. Yup
4. idk, i don't use one. I'd be certain that they all have messaging applications installed and can be used but their functions are far more robust the text messaging. Think of a dummied down laptop.
5. Nope. Smartphones run hollowed out proprietary OSs.
6. Nope. The bandwidth is still limited in comparison to tethered connections. A typical tethered DSL connection will run 100MBPS whereas a typical G band wireless will run at 54MPBS
7. Of course
8. Strange question...firewalls block ports on your machine: both inbound and outbound. viruses may attempt to connect/enable a port to communicate outwards (if keylogger, transferring data, etc). Virus scanners will block virus programs from starting or executing.
9. email is only 1 way viruses get to your machine. it's more successful than website downloads, etc for depositing trojan horses. this is the lesser of the many methods used to propogate/deposit viruses these days.
10. idk, if they are sitting side-by-side, there could be ems type problems due to magnetism but i wouldn't think the cell phone range and wifi ranges are in the same bands.

MCs
1. nope, but a very small possibility for a...it's definitely not the primary reason i'd suspect
2. c, i think
3. d, i think
4. maybe d? i'm not familiar with PMP
5. a
6. notebook
7. b, i think. the others appear to be optional components
8. d
9. a (possibly) but only 1 device connects at any 1 time. also, d, installing a hub will connect an additional four usb ports.
10. a (of course) however, i'm not clear about GPS??? so also d, so long as your home computer has blue-tooth support.

Cheers!
