Mobile Merchant Account

I just paid my credit card balance in full about 45 min. ago and the automated telephone message said it would post tonight by midnight or after. I’m not familiar with this process as this is my first credit card, but do payments process on weekends or is it only like a weekday thing, like with most banks?
